Apple & Business IT Trends: Telecommuting and BYOD

Speaker: Jason Wik

Founder, Sentree K.K.

Morning event: Hear how organizations of all sizes are using Apple technology in their businesses.

Telecommuting and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) trends are impacting IT.  Many companies now expect employees to be always connected and responsive, and some employees are challenging traditional IT department strategies by choosing their own mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets.

The challenge is to securely and seamlessly integrate mobiles with existing servers (like MS Exchange), and to manage access to services such as company email, calendar, & contacts in an efficient, scalable manner.

Our speaker will share two common deployment scenarios—illustrating questions that IT departments have to answer, and describing some tools that they should be looking to use.

Jason Wik is the Founder of Apple consultant Sentree K.K., a technology integration services company with a focus on helping organizations integrate OS X and iOS devices into their environment.
