Immutable Laws of Mobile Business

Speaker: Marco Koeder, MS.

Our presenter is one of the authors of the new mobile business strategy insight guide, “The Six Immutable Laws of Mobile Business”.  The presentation will use case studies—exploring all aspects of the Japanese mobile industry—to point carriers, service and content providers towards successful business models and practices for the present and future mobile Internet, and will highlight Japan’s incredible efforts to offer consumers rich services via complex, high-tech. devices that are nonetheless elegant and easy to use—the authors call it a quest for “Simplexity”.

Mobile phones are the most ubiquitous and indispensable digital devices on the planet. Over half the people in the world own mobile phones, and soon everyone will live in range of a mobile network. There are four times as many mobile phone users as Internet users, but by 2011 around 50% of all mobile phone users will access the Internet via their mobile device. Global revenues from mobile phone-related services are as high as revenues from total global crude oil production.
