Prevent/Detect Workplace Fraud

Speaker: Jack Byrd

Managing Partner, 360 Risk Management Group

Nearly one-third of all US business failures can be attributed to internal fraud/embezzlement or employee theft, according to the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, and some claim that Japan has become Asia’s foremost hotbed of fraud.

Learn how to make your organization more resilient against fraud, your people more knowledgeable in detecting fraud, and what to do if fraud is detected.

This presentation will include in-Japan and cross-border case studies showing how and why employees steal, how to prevent or detect fraud, internal control and compliance mechanisms, and methods for recourse (recovery) if fraud is detected.

Jack Byrd is a former head of Kroll’s Asian Security Practice. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and holds MBAs in Finance (University of Rochester, NY) and Global Management (Thunderbird).
