Using “Stories” to Create Winning Presentations

Speaker: Robert Burnside

President, Empowr

This is a joint event with the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.

Having the best service or technology does not guarantee success. To get ahead in business today, effective communication and presentation skills are a must. A good story can engage a hard-nosed banker or distracted software engineer, and close a sale!

Our speaker, Robert Burnside will explain and demonstrate how and why stories work, and how to use them to make winning presentations. He will explain everything that a good speaker must know—what to do, how to do it, and why it works. This presentation about presentations is for presidents, project managers, entrepreneurs, salespeople—and anyone who must engage, inspire, lead, or sell, in any language or culture.

Robert’s previous presentation on Improving Communication and Presentation Skills was one of the most highly-rated ICA events of 2006.

Robert is president and chief communicator of New Zealand company Empowr,  and Robert has been delivering his Powrtalk training and coaching for several years at major companies in Japan (such as Toyota, NTT DoCoMo, and Citigroup).
